Stayed at this hotel on New Years Eve on our way to Myrtle Beach. We travel with our dog so it is important to find a nice hotel that is clean. We would recommend this hotel for an overnight stay as it was inexpensive, clean and quiet. They also provided a good breakfast as well. Although the hotel is older, the room had been updated. Pleasantly surprised.

I must preface by saying this is my 1st Econo Lodge experience & I booked it out of convenience on a road trip, because they are pet friendly. Made the reservation online a day prior via Southwest Airlines to double up on points. Upon entering at 7p, there was no one at the front desk but a big sign says to pick up phone, dial 0 for service. Let this ring for a while to no avail. A guy finally sticks his head out. English was not his first (or 2nd) language. I gave him the confirmation print-out with the room I paid for but he still asked what kind of room/bed I wanted.
The room was so outdated, dusty and stained. Fixtures and alarm clock cords were coated in ancient dust. Maroon and gray smudges on the walls, stains on carpet. White sheets had gray stain on it and stray hairs. Blanket/bed spread was so pilled, it could have easily been from the 80's. Needless to stay, I didn't shower here and only slept for a few hours before getting back on the road.

This is a nice economical hotel to stay in. Very welcoming at the desk. Clean & large room. Excellent free continental breakfast; waffle maker was great. I have 2 different business trips to this area each year. Yes, I would absolutely stay here again. Note: they no longer except Corporate Lodging discounts.

For this category of lodging, I easily give this place five stars. It fulfills all requirements and more. I am currently staying here amidst a two night say en route to home for Thanksgiving (college break). I am an employee at another Choice hotel, and know what should be expected of hotels in the company. I chose this hotel as it is the cheaper of the ones listed in the employee rate that I receive. That being said, they charge around 50 dollars a night for most of the time from what I researched. It is well worth that. I checked in very late last night, and had my request of room ready when I checked in. This place is older, yet has been renovated as good as one can make a building this old, Everything is in pretty good condition. The bathroom and sink in the bathroom have been remodeled pretty well. My room (215) is in great condition. The bed is very comfortable. The wireless here works great as well. All hallways are indoors for the rooms, and an elevator that works well too. I will experience the breakfast tomorrow. If i chose to take this route home again, I will certainly stay here again!
