My wife and I, and another couple stayed here on our way south and back. The first night, the toilet in our friends' room didn't work. They were moved to another room, but the room key they were given didn't work, so staff let them in with a pass key. Not a big deal except for the fire in the laundry room next morning at 6:00. They were locked out and there is no one on the front desk before 7:00 a.m. Fortunately, they could come to our room. Our stay on the return trip was uneventful.
We booked through Hotwire and got a very good rate. If you're staying just overnight, this is fine. I would definitely not want an extended stay here or to pay the regular price.

This hotel is just plain scary. It's located in a nice residential neighborhood and I did not expect this to be a bad experience. I am a frequent business traveler and booked this hotel because having a full size fridge is important when staying at a hotel for a week. The front desk people were non existent. After standing in the "lobby" for about 15 minutes I used my cell phone to call the hotel hoping someone was in the back room and would answer the phone. After getting the answering machine, I wandered around and found the staff break room. A member of the poorly mannered staff finally got up to check me in. The hallways smelled of burnt pasta sauce and the carpets, elevators etc were very dirty. The hotel is very loud and the parking lot was being used for a keg party. Apparently displaced local residents use this hotel for temporary housing. Or at least that's what I was told. By the time night arrived the cars were surrounded by people partying and leaning on the cars. The worst part was when I went downstairs to complain, a sign was posted stating no desk clerks were available after 9:00pm. Needless to say I grabbed my suitcase, left my food in the fridge and got out of there. The next morning I went back and explained why I left. My money was refunded without any problems.
