I stayed here in December 2011. I work in Gaithersburg 4-5 times per year and usually stay at the Marriott Washingtonian (an excellent hotel). This was a spur of the moment trip and the Washingtonian was booked, so i stayed at the Residence Inn. I'm a Marriott Platinum Premier, and I spend a lot of nights in hotels (including Residence Inns); however, I will avoid this property in the future. The room was clean and the water hot, so no complaints there. However, my room was near the freeway and the noise kept me awake (I bought earplugs the second day so that problem was solved). The internet connection was spotty at best. The desk light didn't work and neither did the recepticals located on the light. Perhaps the most disappointing aspect of the property was the bed. Marriott is one of my favorite hotels because of their comfortable beds. The bed in my room was very uncomfortable and obviously had not been upgraded. It is not the worst hotel I've stayed in, but it was not up to the standard I usually expect from Marriott.
