We ended up here after first calling a half-dozen other places in the Cumberland area, the weekend of Memorial Day. The others were all booked up. Needless to say, this was not my first choice. I was expecting to have to grit my teeth through noise, grunginess, a cramped room, and things that didn't work right. We were pleasantly surprised -- there was none of that. Everything was good to excellent. Spacious room and bathroom, bathroom fixtures in good shape, much better free TV than many similar places (sharp reception, lots of channels, HBO), nice clean fridge and microwave. Each queen bed had FOUR pillows.
The free breakfast area was one of the most pleasant we've seen, and popular (9 am on a Sunday). The first thing I noticed at breakfast was the cream cheese bucket was empty, and I started grumbling to myself. But after turning away for just a few seconds, someone had generously refilled it. Many places they don't bother even checking, much less refilling, even after a complaint. I did not notice anything else that had run out.
There's only one ice machine in the whole place, in the lobby, but for the size and layout that wasn't really inconvenient. There are also water coolers in the lobby.
Only two minor negatives: I expected a fitness facility, but it turned out to be a separate, public health club in its own building adjacent to the hotel, and was closed when we were there. Also, the room carpet could have been cleaner around the edges and in corners.
Overall, highly recommended for this price range.
