We recently spent 2 nights at this hotel while visiting family. I noticed signs in the hotel stating that renovations would begin on January 16, 2012. We checked out that morning, so I can't say I saw any construction activity, but that seems imminent. Hotel is in need of renovations, but it seems to have good bones.

Every employee was especially friendly and helpful. I joked with the head of housekeeping after she got our room ready early that I could make s'mores in our fireplace. The next day, she left a lovely gift bag packed with chocolate and marshmallows and a hand-written card. Everytime I saw her, which was often, she made sure that everything in our room was just right.

The front desk staff were equally as nice as were the random employees we met in the hallways and fitness room. The hotel's manager made arrangements for our wedding party to be able to go swimming at another hotel with an indoor pool (our outdoor pool was closed for the season). Our second morning, the manager stopped by the breakfast room and offered us a private room for the duration of our stay due to a soccer tournament staying at the hotel and wanting to make sure that we could sit and enjoy our breakfast together.

Although the hotel was old, everything was very clean and neat. The rooms on the traffic side of the hotel bothered some of our group, but we slept right through it -- with the windows open. We had a two-bedroom suite with two, full bathrooms and a kitchenette. Perfect for a family of four getting ready for a wedding and being able to easily eat in the room.

I think it was my mistake to choose this hotel at the first place, I should have backed off after seeing the response at the helpdesk as it never looked Marriott at the first place. I did not know any other place so I had to stay. There was wrong in everything about the hotel. I Would never recommend anyone this place. If you want to try it yourself, just walk to helpdesk and check it out..

This was a clean, well run hotel. Apparently they allow pets because everyone had a pet on the lowest floor. We never heard them so the acoustics were great and the pet owners were careful about taking the dogs away from the hotel to do their business. Coffee in the lobby was great. Missed the complimentary free breakfast but hubby thought it was good. Would recomend this place.
