We stopped here on our way home from a trip down south. Stop was random, but chose the Hampton because of the chain reputation. The room was perfect, exceptionally clean, modern, flatscreen TV with HBO. Quiet, far enough off the highway. However, breakfast in the morning was terrible. Scrambled eggs with turkey sausage, both very dry. Muffins, bagels were not good either. But the worst was the coffee, served with mini moons that really spoiled it. Left the hotel and went to the market at the nearby gas station for a real cup of coffee. It takes just as long to make a bad breakfast as a good one, why not step it up?
The hotel is a little pricey, even with a AAA discount, and gave it a lower service rating only for the breakfast. Front desk on arrival was great.
The pool and hot tub were not working during our stay, however, the front desk quickly pointed this out on our arrival so we could stay elsewhere if we wanted to.
