“Horrible Horrible Horrible”

Since all the rooms in Cambridge MD were booked for the weekend, i found a room in the Days Inn, in Easton.. three problems.. 1.. barely anyone at the hotel but everyone was roomed in the same section and with the thin walls, it was hard to sleep with the loud TV and people talking next door.. 2. the motel advertized free breakfast, but at 730 on a sunday there was no coffee avail 3.. and the biggest complain was that they added an extra $15 on my mastercard charge,, (it wasnt on my bill only showed onine) when i called them they said it was an added charge for a pet.. which i didnt have !!!!!! OH and also the bathroom room was horrible with all the mood on the tile and plastic shower curtains...

It was the only hotel with available rooms in the area and we found out why. It started with the chicken bones in the parking lot and the goo oozing out of the ceiling and down the wall in the lobby. Next it was trash and chunks of stucco that had fallen off the walls in the stairway. Then the room had been made up since the last guests had left but they didn't change the sheets or towels, there was dog hair all over the un-vacuumed carpets and pubic hair on the bathroom floor and in the tub. Three was some kind of red goo on the shower wall. The underside of the bedspread had a yellow stain, didn't want to know what it was. There was a granular substance on the table, TV and nightstands mixed in with the dust. Then it got worse. A pickup truck with a bed and trailer for transporting dogs pulled up just outside our door with 16 dogs in it. The barking was bad enough but then they proceeded to wash the urine out of the kennels and onto the parking lot. The front desk lady told us they had been there for two weeks for a hunting dog competition and had been doing that every day. Guess we know where the nasty urine odor in our room was from. CHECK-OUT TIME! We left after only an hour. Would rather have gone home or slept in my truck than stay there. I understand that folks have different standards in regard to cleanliness but there has to be a minimum when you are servicing the traveling public. This place doesn't even begin to meet that. It was nasty, vile, disgusting, dirty, poorly maintained and I can't imagine how anyone could give this place anything but a bad review. But, then again, I haven't seen what their own homes look like.

“Maybe the most disgusting Hotel in the US”

Upon arriving in Easton, we drove to the Days Inn. When we saw the sign, we felt our mapquest was mistaken because the grass around the building was 12 to 18 inches tall, making the hotel appear deserted. After circling the building we did notice a car, so we entered the office through a door with a sign reading "No, No public bathroom." We chuckled at the "Business center" which was comprised of a computer and a desk. We were skeptical, but after driving over 9 hours decided to "check out" the room. Opening the door, we discovered the white outlines of work boots across the forest green un-vaccuumed carpet, further inspection found large spiders in the tub, and upon peeling-back the blankets, we were face-to-face with a 3X3 inch pile of dried semen surrounded by cigarette burns in the blanket. We immediately started the search for another hotel only to find out EVERY room in the entire town was taken. We returned and I carried the blanket, semen and all, to the front desk, threw it upon the counter and asked "Do you expect people to sleep in this?" The front desk person shrieked! She wouldn't even touch the filth. We drove 15 miles to the nearest Target and purchased $72 worth of linens of our own. For the next two nights we wore flip flops when crossing the floors and laid awake waiting on the bed bugs to attack. We were able to utilize the bathroom only after decontaminating with antibacterials. We never did figure out why the handful of toilet paper was jammed between the carpet and the base moulding, but were not about to pull it out. We walked around the huge blood stain at the top of the stairs leading to the parking lot and avoided touching the brick with chewing tobacco spittle dried upon it, that any pressure washer could remove in minutes. We booked this room through pet friendly hotel which listed it as the only one in town. However, we did find out two other hotels are pet friendly. Needless to say, we will never return. We did come face-to-face with the Indian owner and he never offered any compensation for our discomfort or disgust!!!

“Room : Very Nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 September 2011

I was worried having read some bad reviews but was pleasantly surprised at how nice and clean and bright and cheery our room was. We even had a mini-fridge and a microwave oven.
The bed was comfy and we always pull back the sheets to check the bed and everything was as it should be.
The night before we stayed at the St. Michaels's Best Western which had several good reviews but the room was musty and the A/C was so loud that we tried turning it off but then the room was dank. We got a great night's rest at this Day's Inn.
My friends were in room 111 which was too dark- ask for 108, 107, 106 or an upper floor.
Breakfast was cereal and milk for us but that is what we like. Check-in and out was efficient and pleasant.

Room Tip: Rooms 108 ,107, 106 on the ground floor probably upper level is fine-skip 111 or 110-too dark-
