Easton is one of my favorite local weekend getaways. If you live in or near Washington DC, Easton is an easy alternative to Ocean City or Virginia Beach. I've stayed at 3 of the B&Bs and the hotel centered in town. The Chaffinch House did a good job, so I wanted to say something.

I stayed at the chaffinch house in easton, on bussiness. But to be honest it didnt feel like it. The innkeeper is sincerely a great hostess. The room was wonderful, and comfortable. And the breakfast was excellent. my bussiness trip felt a little more like a vacation. a very quiet and relaxing stay. Me and my wife plan to come back in the future!

I would actually rate this B&B 3 and a half if they had it, specifically because of the "B(ed)" which was a little too hard for my taste, and the "B(reakfast) which was a little too sparse for what the owner claims is a 'country breakfast'. I've been to other B&B's where twice as many people were seated and there was still plenty of food on the table when I left.

In all other ways, our stay was enjoyable enough. I think the establishment's best asset is it's owner, who is genuinely pleasant and makes every effort to accommodate her guests; and I understand that return visitors receive discounts. Easton is a wonderful, friendly town, which my family and I plan on visiting again, so we will probably take her up on the offer.

My sister and I stayed at Chaffinch House for 3 nights. I was very surprised at what good shape the house is in. From my experience, most 112 year homes have several maintainence issues. But aside everyday little things, the house was quite clean, neat, and well kept. The exterior porches are in fantastic shape! The Innkeeper was really nice too! Elegant breakfast with beautiful china, the food was great also! We really enjoyed the town of Easton, and St. Michaels. The Innkeeper helped us with directions, helped us carry our very numerous pieces of luggage up the stairs, and even prepared my sister a vegetarian breakfast without any hesitation. I will definately recommend this B&B.
