Was in Crisfeild, to spend time on the Sound. We stayed at the Best Value Somers Cove Motel, I found it to be very relaxing and peaceful. The staff was out of this world, like staying with family. I love the view of the bay and all the waterbirds and wildlife. I would highly recommend this Motel to all travelers. A little piece of home, when you are out and about.

I was in CRISFIELD,MD pastweekend for my uncles funeral(sadthing)bfefore going there i read review on this site which i don't agreeto.
person says goingthrough housing authority,and drug delars,
sounds kind of scary but belive me as cold as it was around this time of year i can't belive some one will be standing out side to sell drugs all dayall night.
well any ways to me it looked people were just standing out side their houses.THEY DIDN"T BOTHER ME,THEY DON"T TRY TO STOP YOU OR ANY THING.
and this hotel/motel is great i would stay here all the time,nice rooms,CLEAN ROOMS,nice view of harbor and marina.
I HAD FUN STAYING HERE.
I stayed at the Best Value Somers Cove Motel before taking a trip to Tangier Island (which was great.) The rooms are dirty, rundown and a little scary. The price is right but there are other motels in the area that are not dives. You have to pass by public housing to get to the motel. This also involves driving by a group of drug dealers at almost all hours of the day and night.
My wife and I stayed at this motel in the spring. We found it to be a surprisingly nice hotel for such a small town. The view is great and the people very friendly and helpful

On Thursday thru Sunday,July 30 thru the 31st my wife and I celebrated along with 30 other members of the McGowan family their 25th reunion.These reservations were made at theSomers Cove motel.Needlesss to say this was a disaster.Dirty rooms,ants in one room at least,dirty linen.The lobby was filthy.We live in Crisfield and have had this reunion at Somers Cove years ago and never have had an experience such as this.
Both Betty I feel we deserve an apology or an aknowlegement at least that you will correct this situation before it happens again.
