“Average hotel, affordable for day-tripping to D.C.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2011

I stayed here a few nights while making day-trips into D.C. It was affordable for the greater D.C. metro area. It is an average hotel, nothing super special. Clean room and a quiet sleep. It is easy to get to from the freeway without having to go into the city. The nearest metro-rail stop is short drive away, I definitely wouldn't walk. I would drive to the nearest train stop where there is day-parking to commute to the downtown area. The pool was closed as it was still cold in March, so I never got to try that out. Continental breakfast was simple cereal and fruit and drinks. As I said before, average place, but affordable.

“Nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2010

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and everything was fine. The hotel is clean, rooms are spacious, breakfast is good and area around is quiet. There is Wi-fi. Just bare in mind that the hotel is 2-3 stops by bus from the last stop of the subway which takes you to DC downtown. The bus which stops at the hotel runs every hour. Altogether it takes approximately 40 min to DC's downtown by bus and metro.

“Pick another hotel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 August 2010

Upon check-in I had to wait till the receptionist finished her personal conversation about kids diarrhea..It was very inappropriate. The only reason I picked that hotel was because of the close by Metro station. I would not recommend to stay there.

“Good Value for the Money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 July 2010

There's really nothing wrong with this hotel considering the excellent price we paid ($65.00 a night). Nothing fancy, mind you, but clean, comfortable and staff was very friendly. Decent continental breakfast, nice outdoor pool but hours are only 2-8pm. Not the best location, very busy street but we knew going in it wasn't a 5 star. Even so, it was quiet. This is the place to stay if you want to take the Metro to DC. It's a very short drive to the station (5 min), parking is cheap for the day ($4.50) it's the end of the line so you always can get a seat, and only 1/2 hour or so ride.

“Not bad for the price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 March 2010

The hotel doesn't look very nice from the outside, but once inside, it's a little better. I was pleasantly surprised by our room which was in the main building, the room was a nice size, as was the bed and the bathroom was nice also. The location of the hotel is ok, it's very close to the U of Maryland metro station, which is convenient, but otherwise our room was right next to the road which was very loud obviously. The breakfast is ridiculous, there are no choices at all, three choices of bread and three choices of sweets. Location ok, room was nice and the staff was helpful but not exactly very friendly. Overall, good for the price.
