We chose to stay at this Quality Inn due to the close walking proximity to the University of Maryland campus and were not disappointed. The hotel is made up of several buildings on a large lot, all one floor except for a 3 story tower next to the office. The facilities were dated, but adequate for the price. My only disappointment was requesting a room in a quiet area and our location could not have been worse. We were placed in the Tower Building adjacent to the drop off area on the property by the lobby building. We stayed on a Saturday night and our room/window was subject to many people (students) yelling and screaming constantly until about 5:30 AM when the noise finally ended. The majority of the activity appeared to occur after the bars let out (many being only 1-2 blocks away, towards the college).
If you do stay here, be aware of the odd numbered rooms in the tower which are adjacent to this noisy area. Also be warned that you should not park to the left or left rear side of the hotel office building, because even though the diner is adjacent to the building, you will be towed if you park there and are not a diner patron. There are a few signs, but the hotel parking area behind the main building blends into the diner lot and it is not clear where one ends and the other begins.
The hotel also offers a continental breakfast in the morning which was adequate, but witnessed several guests heading to the diner instead.
