We spent two nights with my wife and baby. We were looking for an inexpensive place and this was in our budget. We do not like driving in DC due to the traffic and wanted to be close to the Metro. The hotel is 3 blocks from the station and from there it is about 15-20 minutes to downtown.
The staff was very friendly and check in did not take more than a few minutes. The hotel is nice, likely recently renovated. The room was ample and clean. It has a small fridge though no microwave (we found out you can get one if you ask!). There was a small pool outside that we did not use and a small gym that I used and was OK. There was a little pantry with some sandwiches, yogurts, sodas, toothpaste, etc. that was pretty handy when we found out my wife forgot the contact lenses solution (of course, it was late Saturday night).
You have to pay $15 for daily parking, which I thought it was too much. Most places in the suburbs do not charge you for parking. There were several stores nearby (Banana Republic, Gap and so) and a PF Chang's within a 2-3 block radius.
