We stayed here in August. We were booked for 3 nights and made our reservations online. Don't be fooled by the pictures or any of these other reviews. When we first pulled in we were apalled at the neighborhood. We parked our car directly in front of the window because we were afraid we were going to get our rims stolen or someone was going to try and break into our car. Not to mention I didn't feel safe leaving my luggage in the room particularly because the piece on the door frame for the door to latch into had been ripped off and had been neglected to be fixed. The lobby area is beyond a dump. They had broken furniture and things that had been taken out of other rooms that were faulty. Not to mention when we checked in the young lady was on her cell phone the entire time only hanging up for a brief 2 minutes so she could figure out what we wanted. She then proceeded to answer her phone while in the middle of our check-in, slide us our room key and didn't say another word. If you're looking for a place to eat or some things to do in the area don't bother going to the front desk, they just told us they didn't know. Not even an attempt to help, just a simple your out of luck cause I'm busy talking on my cell-phone and am unwilling to assist you. The pool is crap, the paint is peeling off the bottom, it didn't appear to be cleaned ever and we didn't want to go into it without our sandals on. Our room was decent, the bedding appeared to be cleaned but had some cigarette burns through it. The remote didn't work, perhaps because the batteries were taped into the back of it. The bathroom was clean for the most part but the showerhead was a bit rusty. The blow dryer nearly blew up in my face and almost caught fire. The air conditioner was amazing. The fridge was very conveinent and all of our lights worked which was a plus but not nearly enough to make up for the rude service or lack-there-of, the sketchy neighborhood and the disgusting pool. Regardless we were booked for 3 nights and only stayed for one. We moved to Columbia, Maryland and stayed at a DoubleTree well worth the money and the extra 20 minute drive to Washington. The Days Inn is no place for families, small children, or anyone whose looking to relax during vacation.
