We stayed here while visiting Blackwater NWR nearby. The staff was friendly and courtious during check in and chack out. The room was clean and spacious. We were in a non smoking room. It was on the second floor and I noticed that the whole floor was non smoking. That is great. No cigarette smoke in the hall way coming from other rooms. The breakfast was good. They had a pancake making machine. This is the first time we have ever seen one and it actually worked pretty good. It did make large, hot pancakes. They also had little omlets, and bacon. Of course they had the usual cerial, pastries, toast, bagles and even some sticky buns. We will definately stay here on our next trip.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Cambridge for one night in October. My friend and I wanted to experience the eastern shore of Maryland before heading on to Washington DC and found the Holiday Inn Express met our needs. In fact, the hotel and the rooms were great - large, clean with friendly staff. It was just a shame that it was on the main highway - we would have preferred to be within walking distance of central Cambridge instead of next to the strip malls.

However, it was a short drive into Cambridge and there are beautiful roads to go exploring on nearby to see the beautiful eastern shore. I would not hesitate to stay here again if stopping in Cambridge.

Holiday Inn Express in Cambridge, Md is by far the most welcoming family oriented, well accommodating hotel in the city. I frequent the eastern shore quite a bit since majority of my family & friends reside there. I've stayed at two other major hotels in the area (we won't mention any names) and had nothing but issues that were addressed with negative attitude. Ms. Pauline, Ms. Nakia S, Ms. Kia J, Ms. Sandy & Ms. Angie have always went out of their way to make sure my stay is more then comfortable and stress free. In no way did anyone ask me to write a review but great customer service doesnt exist anymore, so I figured I would share with the rest of the consumers. If your every planning a trip on the eastern shore. Make sure you stop by Holiday Inn Express of Cambridge and enjoy the warms smiles of Chuck's team. They'll take care of you.. Location-- On the main highway in Cambridge near several strip malls that include stores like Walmart and Food Lion and fast food galore. About a 5 minute drive to downtown Cambridge and 20 minutes to the Blackwater Wildlife Refuge. Condition-- Clean and well maintained. Rooms-- Very clean with both microwave and fridge, but are otherwise very basic with no updates. Mattresses are barely adequate, with inconsistent firmness. Breakfast-- Basic buffet with powdered eggs, bacon, cereals, yogurt, breads, etc. Service-- Efficient, but seemed disinterested. The front desk staff moved me to another room with no comment, apology or concern about my bad night. The staff began cleaning up breakfast early although guests were still arriving to eat. Overall--Overpriced due to lack of updates or any extras. It is a very clean hotel, but that should be a basic expectation.
