We stayed at the Cambridge House last night and I've never had to write an unfavorable review but I feel I need to this time. We were greeted by one of the owners who barely acknowledged us when we came in and she sort of hustled us to her husband, who showed us around. Our room was nice but there were no top of the line anything in this hotel- no down pillows, no robes, not a nice breakfast in the morning- we were scraping our plates after 2 pieces of sausage and one waffle each.... (we don't gorge ourselves but thought there'd be more of a helping or variety but that was it! ) and worst of all- the reason for why I chose this b&b was because of the outdoor hot tub and it didn't get very hot AND there wasn't enough water in it!!
The town of Cambridge is very run down and possesses no character what so ever. I'd suggest staying at St. Michaels, (20 mins away) 100 times over!! Don't stay in Cambridge unless you like the feel of Culpepper Virginia or an old, run down town. Sorry, but I have to make sure you don't make the same mistake we did.
