“Lovely stay in Cambridge - recommended!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 April 2009

I stayed at the Cambridge House with colleagues this weekend while attending a local conference. The room was huge and clean (and I am a germophobe who travels with Lysol), and was very pleased with the neat and careful housekeeping. Our hosts (Dana and husband) very friendly and outgoing, and breakfast was tasty and more than sufficient with fresh fruit and homemade items (egg fritatta and Belgian waffles). Very pleasant folks who care run this nice establishment.

Did not hear my neighbors, and the bathroom seemed to act as a noise buffer.

Good show all around!

(By the way, had the crabcakes at the Clearview Country Club. Fantastic, and outdoor dining enhanced by sunset views of the Choptank River from the restaurant's back deck.)

“Great place for a relaxing girls weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2009

I met up with my girlfriends at the Cambridge House during the "Taste of Cambridge" weekend. We had a blast. The Innkeepers, Dana and Jody, were fantastic...very welcoming, warm, friendly people. The Inn was very clean with beautiful furnishings and picturesque grounds. We stayed in one of the rooms that had access to the back porch (I highly recommend). The porch offered us a great place to gather, talk, have a glass of wine, and enjoy the sounds/smells of summer.

Not only did The Cambridge House provide a great place to gather and catch up, but it provided easy access to the entire town. We were able to walk to the Taste of Cambridge and to nearby Choptank River. Within a short driving distance we were able to visit the local nature preserve. I highly recommend The Cambridge House as a great place for a quick, fun weekend getaway. Go ahead, book a room. You won't be disappointed.

“Felt like I was at home, but even better!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2009

I had a wonderful time during my girls weekend in Cambridge, Maryland. The Cambridge House Bed & Breakfast was an amazing place to stay. The breakfast was delicious and the owners were wonderful to talk with. We were within walking distance of everything we needed - food, shops, etc. I loved the hot tub and the bed was very comfortable. I'd highly recommend staying at the Cambridge House Bed & Breakfast!

“Charming Inn in a Charming Neighborhood”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2009

When my husband and I arrived at the Cambridge we were greeted promptly and warmly. Dana showed us our room, which was quite large, and the common house areas. She was very attentive and pleasant. One thing about our room was that the walls are thin. We could actually hear the conversation that was going on in the next room. We had a very nice breakfast and a lovely chat with Dana afterward.

“I hate writing a bad review but...........”

We stayed at the Cambridge House last night and I've never had to write an unfavorable review but I feel I need to this time. We were greeted by one of the owners who barely acknowledged us when we came in and she sort of hustled us to her husband, who showed us around. Our room was nice but there were no top of the line anything in this hotel- no down pillows, no robes, not a nice breakfast in the morning- we were scraping our plates after 2 pieces of sausage and one waffle each.... (we don't gorge ourselves but thought there'd be more of a helping or variety but that was it! ) and worst of all- the reason for why I chose this b&b was because of the outdoor hot tub and it didn't get very hot AND there wasn't enough water in it!!

The town of Cambridge is very run down and possesses no character what so ever. I'd suggest staying at St. Michaels, (20 mins away) 100 times over!! Don't stay in Cambridge unless you like the feel of Culpepper Virginia or an old, run down town. Sorry, but I have to make sure you don't make the same mistake we did.
