We were there in the offseason, having noticed the Inn during the summer. Its location is absolutely perfect, just steps away from the tiny York Harbor beach and from excellent walking opportunities.
Since we planned to arrive before official check-in time, Kathy called to let us know where the key was in case no one was home. The Inn is a solidly constructed old building, and our room was just as the photos had shown it, with a spectacular view of the ocean. The bathroom was large and offered soap and lotion as well as a note, which I welcomed, about the option of saving water by re-using towels during multi-night stays.
The Inn is informal. Breakfast was one hot dish (baked French toast one day, baked oatmeal the next) as well as bagels, yogurt and granola, with grapes, sliced watermelon and strawberries. Guests can make their own coffee and tea at any time day or night in the common area.
