All the reviews on this website that describe the beautiful location of this hotel are completely accurate. It is stunning. However, the quality of the lodging itself leaves much to be desired; the walls of the wooden huts are extremely thin; whilst there may be positive reasons for this choice, to have semi-detached accommodation with walls that offer such easy sound-transfer means that sleep is easily disturbed. In separate instances, I was woken by snoring in an adjacent room and, at 9.15AM by a leaf blower 2 feet from our door (and I am a very heavy sleeper!). The latter offering one of several instances of the hotel's operations being determined by staff convenience, with little consideration for the guests. Hot drinks were only available to us by walking to the main house, apparently until 9pm, but when we attempted to enter the building at 8.15pm all the doors were locked to us.
The restaurant may be very nice; it was advertised to us being open "through October", we went in October, it was closed. I understand seasonal opening but communicating opening dates can be done more effectively than it is currently.
I was happy to see sunrise from our room, I enjoyed dusk. One night was enough to experience the Dockside Guest Quarters.
