Southern Maine is such a beautiful area but this hotel is aweful! The rooms are musty, the staff unfriendly and the management RUDE and unaccommodating! I would pass this place up in a second! There are many other options for accommodations in the area that WAY surpass this place!

Also known as the Ogunquit River Inn and Suites. Very dated (70s?) motel, and smelly room. Empty soda bottles outside room door. Rude help. Tried to help myself to the free continental breakfast after 10am not knowing they turned off the waffle machines. The irate, scraggly dressed old fellow on duty fumed, "Looks like we have a problem here." Looks like the problem is a lack of training on being hospitable to guests. This place was the only one in Ogunquit with rooms available on this date. It's also the least expensive. I now know why. A lesson in getting what you pay for. Wondering if their employees are posting the glowing reviews of this place.

We love to stay at the Oqunquit River Plantation. My husband and I only get a day off every few weeks so we want those days to be great. We drive to Maine from New Hamsphire and always stay at the Plantation. The hotel is close to shopping and the ocean. The rooms are very clean and large. It has a great pool and jaccuzzi and a wonderful view. I can't wait for another day off and stay at this hotel..

The this place is very comfortable, clean and the staff is awesome. The Hotel offer a beach shuttle from 9-4 every hour, there is also a trolly stop out front for $ 1.50 you can travel to a wide area around Ogunquit/Wells villages,It offers stops at all hotels and shops on their route. The pool and hot tub were not very busy as everyone was at the beach. This was a great vacation at a reasonable price.
