“Charge $195 for a lamp that was accidently knocked over by a 11 month old”

Worst experience ever. The staff was rude. The hotel wasn't clean, breakfast was horrible, and was charged $195 for a lamp that an 11 month old accidently knocked over. Front office manager handling the incident on the broken lamp was useless, would never stay at this place again; I hope you don’t waste your time with this Hotel and choose other accomidations.

“A little off the beaten track but very nice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2011

It was late, dark and rainy when we started looking for a hotel. we got a little mixed up getting off the I 95 but eventually found the Hampton Inn. After a little mix-up by the older guy working the desk,( He kept messing up the rooms, keys etc) we finally got into our room. The room was great, clean quiet and comfortable. We had a great sleep in our king bed and a good breakfast the next morning. Good value and and no change since were here a few years ago. Still clean and comfortable, just what we expect from Hampton Inns.

“Not Maine, But One of Best Mid-Priced Options; Clean and Friendly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 December 2011

It's funny how this place fits in in York County, where it's all about quaint and charming/rustic Maine, not large hotel/motel chains. Hampton Inn is a great option because it's modern, extremely clean, pleasant - has that community feel that it does well in all of its locations (could use a little less "green" lobbying though, I am on vacation for Pete's sake.!) I also think the prices are better than most upscale BandB's,especially those in Kennebunkport - BY FAR. You aren't missing anything here really. I mean, you should do the genuine Maine thing at some point and help the local accommodations by all means, but if you have been there multiple times, this can give you a price break as you enjoy the beautifuls surrounding areas. Great location. Pool is chaotic with kids enjoying themselves, which is fine as the noise is well-contained and not a disturbance.

“Great Place to stay with great rates”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2011

While traveling in Southern Maine you should consider the Hampton Inn and Suites in Wells Maine. The Inn is just south of Kenneybunkport (great seaport town), North of Kittery (Outlet Stores) and in an ideal location no matter what time of the year your in the area. The staff is extreemly helpful and friendly and the rates are better than most of the hotels in the area that are similar in comfort. Its a great place to stay if your heading up north and want a good night sleep on some of the most comfortable beds in any hotel.

Room Tip: We always select the King size bed and the room is very spacious including a couch and desk area as...

“Pleasantly surprised”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 November 2011

Wasn't expecting more than a minimal hotel room but was very pleased with the size and comfortable nature of the room. Very clean for what is probably a very popular hotel in the summer beach season and quiet, did not use pool or hot tub. About 1 mile from Wells Beach along Route 1 near lots of restaurants, Ogunquit and Kennebunkport. Very nice breakfast area with many choices. Stayed over in October when rates are much lower. Would love to stay here in the summer, but seasonal rates make it prohibitive and the traffic in that area would be very heavy.
