Site says "Spectacular oceanfront and ocean view sites"This is False. It is a small bay. With the tide,it becomes just a big mud hole in the evening.Nothing "spectacular about that"The park is pretty much all gravel, very little grass.Sewer drains don't have threaded couplers. The park was quiet and well maintained.Pool was closed first 2 days of stay,so we never got a chance to use it.
For 100 bucks a night,i would think they would at least offer free wi-fi,i get that at about any other campground for free at half the cost of the stay.
It is the last campground on the bus route that takes you to destinations in bar harbor and the park.I found out through others that the trick is to drive to the Acadia visitor center and catch the bus there. It is the first stop for buses. From campground to Bar Harbor on the bus takes almost an hour and a half! They never mentioned the Visitor Center trick to me when we almost missed our boat tour trying to get back in town.(Never try to park in town if you have a cruise scheduled)
They had a couple activities scheduled, ice cream social and an Elvis impersonator.I would not recommend the so called ocean view lots, premium or otherwise.Way to much money for what you get.
