We stayed there 3 nights(8/1-4th) while visiting Acadia NP in one of their camping cabins. We are a family of 5 and we were happy with its basic setup including 2 sets of bunkbeds(sleeps 5), heater, microwave and refridge. At age 50 we have outgrown tents, but enjoy camping so the cabins worked great. They even had a covered porch with chairs.
It is convenient to Acadia NP about 15 miles, and close to restaurants and stores.
The campround caters mostly to RVs, Motorhomes and senior citizens. There was nothing for kids to do in the evenining. The activity center was not open in the evening and the heated pool closed at 7pm. It would have been nice if it was open till 9pm to enjoy after hiking in Acadia.
The campground was quiet. Bathrooms/showers where super clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly/helpful.
We would recomend Narrows Too campground if you are looking for an economical place to stay while visiting the Acadia NP area. The scenery is nice overlooking the bay and mountains. It's interesting to see the big tide changes up north.
