I stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites Rockland on the way up to Bar Harbor for one night. The hotel is ideally situated along the coast, just south of Rockland and Camden, and just north of the Port Clyde area. This is definitely one of the nicer Hamptons I have stayed in. The room was well-appointed, and the bathroom had many of the upgraded fixtures I've observed in higher-end Hilton hotels. The bed was quite comfortable, and the availability of wireless internet was a plus. The Applebee's alluded to in other posts is literally across the driveway, and a great place for a quick meal. Breakfast was usual Hampton fare, with both warm and cold items. The fitness center, although small, seemed large enough to accomodate guests at a hotel this size. The pool and hot tub looked inviting, though I didn't have time to use either one. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
