The couple that own (and live at) the Clark Point Inn obviously take great pride in this property. Inside and out, the inn is very nicely done. Common areas and private rooms alike have been tastefully updated with quality furnishings, modern bathrooms, widescreen TVs, wi-fi, etc.--all while retaining the charm of a historic inn. The front porch provides a great place for relaxing and visiting with fellow guests. And each morning, Mark and Jennifer served up a FANTASTIC breakfast. One criticism: the water was super-hard and the towels (although high-quality) were the texture of sandpaper. Get a water conditioner!
The main part of the town of Southwest Harbor itself is a five-minute walk from the inn. It's a quiet place...about 5 restaurants and a handful of stores, and that's about it. If you like laid-back, you'll like Southwest Harbor.
