We made ressies for the Dry Dock to extend our stay near Acadia by one night (we changed our plans after making our initial reservations, and just needed one more night).
We saw reviews of "charming" and "quaint" so we made reservations.
We stopped by during the days before we were to check in, and we're glad we did! The "Inn" is just several rooms over a bar. They may be nice (we didn't even see them), but calling it an "Inn" is a stretch.
No dedicated parking: find a sopt on the street if you're lucky, or in a city lot a block or more away.
Tote your luggage up a narrow stairway to a room overlooking the cross street of the main drag an another busy street.
If you want to go to bed early, better bring earplugs because you're right over the resturant / bar.
We made reservations at another place for that night and were happy to eat the night's charge.

The Cafe drydock and Inn is located in downtown Southwest Harbor. The Inn has 7 rooms and dates to the 1920's. We do not have a front desk and also do not lock the front door. The inn is a stepback in time to a slower pace and that is what attracts so many people to us. As owners we live in the inn and are available 24 hours a day. We also own a resturant under the inn. All our rooms have private baths and never has anyone been alowed up stairs to use the bathrooms. The rooms all have deadbolts locks and there has never been a problem with the front door as the police station is across the street in a town of under 2,000 residents. We may not appeal to everyone. Are rooms are all modern and updated. Our resturant was closed when this person supposedly stayed here. There are many other fine places to stay on the island and we understand that you cannot please everyone in our 25 years of business.
