We had a decent enough time in Southwest Harbour despite the very poor weather for our 3 nights. Clearly there are a lot of walks and cycle rides available in the Acadia Park. We did find a break in the weather to climb a short local summit.
This Inn is on a busy town center road which does quieten down in the evening and the town itself is fine for a short stay.
The outside of the property was probably OK and would look a lot better on a sunny Summer day. Plenty of free parking. The downstairs areas were decent but not exceptional. The lounge was comfortable.
Breakfast was tasty and of good standard. It is only served for 1 hour though and you may have to wait due to the breakfast dining area being too small. A minor issue as you wait in the lounge and coffee is available. Food was served by a very nice friendly lady.
We think this Inn is average mostly because of the room we were in. It was called the Blue Bay. Considering the amount we paid for the room it was very small, had only one drawer unit for clothes, hanging was very limited, the bed was the smallest we had in 3 weeks holiday. There was no separate shower so the roll-top bath was shower as well, which had a curtain around it .
Not what we expected for the price paid so an average rating.
