We selected this B&B because of its attractive, well-organized website and proximity to several towns on the Maine coast, without being in the more congested areas. We were pleased that the couple who own and manage the house could accommodate our vegetarian diet. The menu changed every day and included fruits, breads, and entrees that were skillfully prepared and artistically presented. Such variety! With the exception of the coffee, orange juice, and butter, there were no repeats over the course of 7 mornings. The gracious hosts Pat and Frank were engaging and helpful with suggestions of places to visit or eat. We chose our room because of its view of the ocean. The other rooms were larger than ours yet we had adequate space for sleeping and dressing. Would only recommend The Brigadier room if you can manage living in close quarters with your roommate/partner and welcome that adventure. A favorite in-room activity was looking out the window for the resident foxes and to see the ocean through the break in the trees. There are lovely common rooms where guests can read, play games or simply relax. An eclectic library is available for guest use. The house is located right on Route 1, the main coastal road. Our room was in the rear of the house and we could hear a little road noise from passing trucks. We especially enjoyed the skylight in the bathroom which we could open.
