We stayed there on New Year's Eve 2011 with a group of friends. Not one of us could find anything to complain about. The staff was great, rooms were roomy and very clean and we were very happy with the rate. Plus we had a great time at the dance in the ballroom. Couldn't have asked for any better way to ring in the new year.

We were very well treated by the registration staff who were pleasant and quickly responded to our request for a rollaway. Our room was well appointed and clean. The beds and pillows gave a good night's rest. The wake up call was on time. The hotel hired complementary taxis because there were too many of us flying out at 6 am to all fit in the hotel van. After hours pick up worked well with the hotel paying for the taxi. I just wish they had a free breakfast bar.

My wife and I booked a reverse park and fly through this hotel. By reverse I mean we stayed on our return trip instead of the night before we left. the rate was just incredible and can't be topped!

We left our car there for over 10 days without any problems. They even had us park it right in front so it was in a high traffic area and not shoved away in some remote area. the shuttle driver was very friendly and prompt. We had no problems with the drop off and pick-up.

Upon our return we stayed in a room with a king size bed and I was pleasantly surprised by the room. It was quite nice and very clean. My only complaint would be the lights they have over the bed. I'm fairly tall and I must of hit my head on them at least twice. other then that the room was great.

We didn't check out the hotels amenities as we got in late and left first thing the next morning so I can't comment on those.

If you're looking for a park and fly hotel though this one is the cream of the crop and I would book it again in a heart beat!

If you are traveling through Portland in the evening,plan a stop at the Howard Johnson's for an over night rest.Very nice people,clean ,neat hotel,rooms are very nice and comfortable.I only found 1 thing that needed was more plug-ins in the room we had.The pool area is nice and large with a hot tub.Relaxing.
