“Artful & ecclectic.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

From the first step inside, I loved everything about the Pomegranate Inn. Our room was very comfortable and beautifully designed. There was clearly lot of love poured into this place over the years! Breakfast is creative, the presentation is perfection and so very delicious. It's like nothing you'd expect from your regular Inn or B&B. You can really tell that Dana and Greg love what they do!

“Wonderful Stay, Amazing Breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

We just had a wonderful stay the Pomegranate. The decor is truly something to be seen, and we enjoyed seeing all of the artwork throughout the house. There's a ton of art that catches the eye!

We stayed in room number six and had a quite comfortable stay. The bed was super comfortable (but very, very high off the ground, so if you're short, you might want to opt for another room) and we had a great night's sleep. The inn was very quiet throughout our stay. The best part was breakfast! It was so delicious and filled us up until well into the evening. What a treat!

Just to leave some constructive criticism... The room we stayed in could use some upgrades, particularly in the bathroom. There was quite a bit of wear on the molding and trim and some water damage by the tub. It's an old house, so you can expect some of that, but a little paint and restoration could really go a long way. Also, the grout on the floor tiles could use a deep clean, and the sink had a major crack in the basin. One other thing to note: we didn't have hardly any water pressure and the water never really got hot. One improvement would definitely be the toilet paper and tissues; both were like sand paper. When paying a decent price for a B&B, something other than budget toilet paper just seems right :)

We will definitely be back again, as we loved the ambiance, the location (about a 20 minute walk into the Old Port), and the breakfast.

Room Tip: We poked our heads into a few open rooms, and from the looks of them, I'd recommend rooms 3 and...

“Stay here.”

We were trying to stay at another inn, but it didn't work out and we stayed at the Pomegranate instead. I'm so glad we did. On the site the rooms look a little kitsch, but in person the entire place is eclectic and beautiful. The breakfasts were delicious, the best I've ever had at an inn or hotel before. It's basically like eating at a restaurant. I used to live on the east end of Portland so it was fun to check out the west end. Even in a snow storm this was a great location. We didn't use our car all week.
I just wish we could have stayed longer!

I took my husband here for a surprise get away. It was a lot of fun!!. We enjoyed everything...all the special attention to detail and whimsy. It was warm(we went in January),welcoming and a wonderful treat. Our breakfast was superb and of course a work of art like all that you'll encounter here at the Inn.

“You will feel right at home!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

My boyfriend and I went to Portland for NYE this year and to celebrate our anniversary. We stayed at the Pom Inn and I have been RAVING about it ever since! First, the house itself is beautiful, it's decorated eclectically and the art is amazing - each room is different and unique. Upon entering we were greeted by Alex, who was baking fresh homemade cookies! She was cheery and welcoming and made us feel at home. The next morning at breakfast we met the owners, Dana and Greg and boyyyy can Dana cook! Her breakfasts are to die for! Overall, we loved our stay at the Inn, from meeting and mingling with other guests by the fire to our adorable and quaint guest room and the homemade chocolate candies made by Dana for our anniversary; I cannot say enough great thinks about the Inn and those who run it - we will definitely be back!
