Had a nice stay at the West End Inn. I think I got a deal because it was a late booking. The innkeeper Sara was incredibly nice. The breakfast in the morning was superb-blueberry waffles and a fancy sausage. I didn’t make the breakfast the next day because the 9 am cutoff on a Sunday was a bit too early for me, but it gave me a reason to explore one of the hip brunch places.
The place was very clean. The room was bit doily with big viney wallpaper, but typical for a lot of B&Bs in old houses. There aren’t any TVs in the rooms or common area which is fine with me, but I could hear the murmer of a TV coming from somewhere which was a little odd since I was on the third floor. Did the people in the next room bring a TV? The only thing that was missing for me is not having a little outdoor space. The weather was really nice and it would have been nice to sit outside for a glass of wine or a coffee.
The location was perfect for me. A quaint and quiet part of town that felt very safe, but very walkable to lots of restaurants and downtown. I like that I could go out and have fun and come back and get some rest.
