When I called the lady was real nice and told me all she had left was a two bed over looking the beach and we would have our own deck... and it would just cost $200.00 a night.. we got there and after checking in we could not find a parking place.... ( they have a small bar and pizza place next door.. after looking in our room.. OMG it was so gross,,, floor looking like it hadn't been vaccumed for a long time.. I would not even let my small child on the floor.. had to keep the glass door open all night cuz of the smell... looked like it was a big party house with everything falling down.. I would't stay again if they PAID me....

When my boyfriend and I decided to find a place to stay in Old Orchard last minute, the only place that would take two 20 year olds on last minute notice was the Carolina motel. The woman who took our reservation and meet us when we showed up wasn't the friendliest, but I think she was just one of those people with a dry personality. We were the only people staying in the hotel that night so it was quiet and we got a decent room. Unfortunately the pool was out of service. It looked like they were dong work on it, painting it or something. The walk to the beach was amazing, only a 30 second walk to the water. It was also fairly close to all the attractions, about a 5 minute walk.
However my boyfriend and I overslept and didn't check out by check out time so the housekeepers walked in as we were about to leave. They didn't charge us for checking out late, but you'd think that they would have noticed that we didn't check out yet considering we were the only people there and would have waited to send in the people to clean. We ended up rushing to get out and ended up leaving something behind because instead of giving us a few seconds to finish packing and leave they stood there and waited for us, which made us scurry around. That and the pool were really the only issues that I had with the place.

Short and sweet my husband broke his foot when a large heavy piece of wood fell off the wall. It landed on his toes. We alerted the clerk at the front desk. She told us the insurance co would be in touch with us. She refused to tell us their name. It was 4th of July weekend. It was completely ruined for us. The room didn't even have a/c. And honestly I don't think anyone has done maintenance on that building in 30 years. Total nightmare.

The motel was a mess! The rooms were too small and so small that my uncle accidentally hit his head off the fan and broke it! Theroom was so damp that my cousin thought the beds were ''water beds''. There was no service whatsoever when we went, and in the end, all we thought of it as was the Ancient Aztec Mental Institute!
