We stayed at the Friendship Motor Inn during the labor week end and it was the perfect getaway on the beach for my family and I. We had a room on the ground floor, which was great because we were able to access quickly the beach and the motel facilities (with a child it is the best!). Free coffee available all day long in the lobby!, and BBQ available as well. Our room was clean and had a kitchenette (mini-fridge and and toaster).The layout of the motel is the best you can expect (a U with a heated swimming pool in the middle) and the beach is right there, almost at your door, and the sand is soft ... WE LOVED IT!

We have stayed at Friendship Motor Inn for a few years now for our annual vacation with family at OOB. We have two young children so the quick access to the beach and a pool is wonderful. And it's a great walk down to the Pier. The rooms at Friendship are very nice and work great for our family. (We can put kids down for naps in the bedroom and sit on the balcony or in the living room). Having a mini-kitchen is especially great to prepare meals and not have to eat out the whole time we're there.

The Friendship staff is super-friendly and always helpful. My three-year-old son was very talkative with the ladies who came to straighten up the room each day. He asked about them each night at bedtime wanting to know if they'd be back to talk with him the next day. He was very, very sad to leave Friendship (as were we), but we look forward to our stay next year. We're sure it will be fabulous as always.

We stayed @ Friendship Inn for 4th of July weekend as well as for my 40th bday and had an amazing time. We've stayed here before, both on the upper level & lower level. The upper level is great w/ the balcony and view of the ocean but especially for the privacy. The lower level is what we chose this year so it was easier for the kids to come & go between the 2 rooms we rented w/ family members. The only reason I couldn't give this hotel a perfect score is because of the privacy & noise issue being on the lower level. There was a large family staying right next to us that pretty much took over our little area outside of our rooms and were pretty loud @ night. Nice family but wish they could've found another spot to hang out. We didn't complain to staff but I'm sure they would've taken care of it immediately. You can't beat location! You're right on the beach, no crossing the street. And you're far enough from the pier & noise, but can hop on the trolly (which stops right @ the Friendship Inn) to easily go downtown. The kids loved being able to set up the beach toys, chairs, etc and enjoy the beach as well as the pool, even the ice cream truck stops in front! We'll be back next summer and many years to come =)

This is our 4th or 5th year staying for the 4th of July weekend. The rooms are clean and the hotel is kept nice. The management and staff are great. we look forward to coming back in August 2010 for another stay.
