“Perfect spot for an off-season getaway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 December 2011

This property had been recommended to me, by a friend, over 7 years ago. This was the first chance my wife and I had to go there, we are campers in the peak season and rarely travel north at this time of year. For the first time, in a long time, I found myself thinking about dumping my camper and going back to hotels and motels.

We rented one of the one bedroom suites. It was HUGE! The layout drawings on the website do not do it justice. It has a spacious kitchen (more on that later) with a large counter with stools. The bathroom was large and the tub was big enough for two. The sink and counter was big enough to spread out your toiletries and feel at home. The king sized bed was very comfortable and plenty of extra blankets and pillows are provided. The room was clean when we got there and housekeeping came by, every day to tidy up and drop off more towels and supplies.

The property is located right next door to a good pub-type restaurant that werves excellent food and drinks. It makes for a great, late night stop for a night cap, without having to worry about transportation.

Now for the downsides, which are minor:
1. Why do hotels insist on having huge tubs and tiny showers. While this makes for a great fantasy for intimacy, in reality, the larger shower would work out better
2. The electric fireplace did throw off a lot of heat, but it didn't throw off much light or ambiance. I am keeping in mind that it is electric. There are much better models on thee market that look much more realistic.
3. The breakfast needs to be taken up a notch. There are better quality items (bagels, breads, cereals, etc....) that could be provided.

“Nice Place”

My partner and I chose the Ogunquit Resort Motel after reading through the reviews and Trip Advisor contributors did not let us down! The motel was extremely clean, the room large with fireplace and jacuzzi tub as promised. The little fridge in the bathroom ( find of a funny place for a fridge but it worked out very well! ) was quite useful as, after carefully reading reviews, we checked in with breakfast items. It is true that the complimentary breakfast is not very inspiring but certainly good enough for those who just want to fuel up before going out for the day! The breakfast room has the look and feel of a church basement and we preferred the coziness of our room. The trolley bus worked out well except for the fact that it rained pretty much the whole week-end we were there, and as we did not relish standing in the rain we only took the little bus twice. The one place people staying at this motel MUST try if the Post Road Tavern; it is situated right next door and serves up ample portions of surprisingly good food plus the choice of beers on tap was impressive!

“Good Value, Nice Place and Convenient to Attractions.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2011

In June 2011 had a "Girls Weekend" and stayed at the Ogunquit Resort Motel. I had stayed there before numerous times over the years and it is always consistent. For the price you cant beat it and it also includes a continental breakfast. A large outdoor hot tub is very relaxing as well as an outdoor pool. The rooms are pleasant and clean. It is located right on the main route and convenient to the Marginal Way, restaurants, shopping either by car or trolley. The trolley stop is right next door and even though we checked out on a Sunday morning the motel allowed us to keep our car their while we took the trolley downtown. The staff is very friendly.

“Sister's Weekend 2011”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2011

The motel was very clean and the continental breakfast was better than most. The health club was very dated and the equipment did not function. I think if your going to have equipment that you should have it serviced every once and a while. Next problem was the hot tub, very nice but closed at 9:00 on Friday and Saturday, and was not open on Sunday. State that it is seasonal.
Management did not even address our complaint.

“What a "Gem ", in beatifull Ogunquit Maine in Fall”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 October 2011

Another Coastal weekend , to do some shopping in those great specialty shops in all those beautifull towns . The weekend of Oct 15th &16 , York, Maine was holding their Annual Fall Harvest Weekend , so I looked to Ogunquit for lodging . Using this site , I came upon the " Ogonquit Resort Motel ", and it looked wonderfull . Upon calling , and being handled very nicely by one of the owners , I booked a room on the first floor , king size bed , large TV with full cable , and full HBO movie channels [ ;.) ] two bed side tables with lamps , a round table with two comfortable chairs , the TV was in a huge cabinate that also was a roomy dresser . That room also contained a "SAFE ", and a built in closet, with a door , so your things weren't hanging out in the room so so many other places !That closet also contained an iron , and ironing board .
The bath was very large , and like the entire place , spotless ! Everything was standard size , just like home , including hairdryer...... and those little things in case you forgot to pack them .
To the right side of that bath , the room opened up to house a rather large motel frig, with a very large , seperate door freezer ! Also a small coffer maker ..... and continental breakfast is served each morning in a very comfortable room up front .
There's a nice pool , but the real treat [ for mid Oct . ] was the oversized zacussie in center court , all neatly sheltered by a huge gazebo , and changing area . At one point we had 11 people in there and still had room . You can still have your privacy !
My wife and I will be going up in Dec for Kennybunkport's Holiday Festival , and we know where we'll be staying !

Of course HEAT and AC are all controlled by the guest ...

Room Tip: All room are " non - smoking " , and no pets are allowed . You may ask for a room with...
