“Engagement Get-away!”

My (new!) fiance and I spent 2 nights at the Inn and we absolutely loved it! We stayed in Room #2 and it was absolutely perfect! We wanted a place that was close to all the attractions the quaint little town had to offer, and that's exactly what we got. We walked everywhere and didn't have to deal with the traffic. Kirk was very nice and we think he does a fabulous job on up-keep. It is decorated very tastefully and it's beyond cozy.
We also thought the continental breakfast was fine...coffee, waffles, oj, fruit, muffins and a little bit more.....what else could you possibly need?! But, if you are in the mood for a filling breakfast, just walk about 50ft from the Inn to Bintliff's. They are directly in front of the Inn, and we were blown away by the food! Amazing!
More importantly, we met all of our expectations, and didn't break the bank! We would definitely vacation back in Ogunquit, and definitely stay at this Inn. Hopefully for our 1st year wedding anniversary! ;)

Room Tip: Rooms on the top floor are much bigger, very nice and more expensive. Just remember not all rooms ha...

“Wonderful B&B in Ogunquit Maine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 September 2011

The Ogunquit Inn is a wonderful place. The front porch and balconies are great places to sit, look at the gardens, read, and talk. The rooms are well appointed. My favorite room is #2. A recently added ceiling fan contributes to the comfort, as well as a window air conditioner. It has a private entrance and balcony overlooking the garden.

Kirk, the Innkeeper, is gracious, responsive, and a good cook. He makes many of the muffins and breads served for breakfast.

The facilities of the Inn are pleasant. There is a hot tub, and lovely living room with books, magazines, and games. Breakfast is served in a light-filled room that looks out on the gardens.

The Main Beach, downtown, and a great pizzeria are all within walking distance. The trolley runs all though the town also. Be sure to check out Footbridge Beach on Ocean Street (about 1 ½ miles away). It is much quieter than the Main Beach, but still has a bath house and snack bar.

I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone who is looking for a relaxing place to stay in Maine.

“Exactly what we were looking for”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 September 2011

We wanted an affordable and conveniently located b&b within walking distance of Ogunquit beach, and that is exactly what we got. The room was clean, the reception was friendly and efficient, the shared bathroom wasn't too onerous, and we had a separate exit and our own little deck which was very nice. I do think the breakfast could be a tad more generous (cereal especially) but I would much rather have the option of spending the money we saved on one of the many excellent breakfast spots in town, which we did twice, so it didn't feel like a compromise. Would go back for sure.

“Will never recommend this B&B to anyone”

My husband and I were looking forward to our stay at this B&B and had checked the website with it's great pics and indicating the rooms had bathrooms, balconies etc. When we arrived there we were told that we had Room 1. We went upstairs to check out the room and it was small like a closet and also - had no balcony - no bathroom. The bathroom across the hall was a tiny toilet, sink and shower that we had to share with other guests. We were both so disappointed and tried to cancel our reservations with Kirk (the owner) who would not hear of it. MY HUSBAND AND I HIGHLY do not recommend this old house which could use a lot of renos. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED.....

“average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2011

i recently took a trip to maine and stayed at 4 B&Bs in 4 days. the ogunquit inn (i guess it isn't a b&b) was the last and i think my 3 other fantastic experiences brought this experience down. at the B&Bs the innkeepers were so welcoming and treated me like i was part of the family. when i walked into the ogunquit inn the first thing that struck me was a walled off "front desk" and an obvious detached area in which the innkeeper "lived." not very open and inviting.

the room was fine but more like a motel room even though it was in a house. the rooms at the previous places were much more comforting and homey. the continental breakfast of cold pieces of french toast and nutrigrain bars differed quite a bit from the full breakfasts i was used to at the other places. and cost-wise this was the mot expensive place we stayed for the least amount of comfort and services.

perhaps i'm not comparing apples to apples? i really don't know. there was nothing really wrong about the ogunquit inn but if i ever go back to ogunquit to stay (not sure i will) i would look at some other options.
