Regret that it took this long to write our review , but the Riverside made our Maine experience wonderful. We were only there for 3 days but the rooms, view and service were great!
We had a second floor room which added to the views. Quiet setting on the Cove, and for people who love walking like we do it was a perfect location. It is out of the main street hubbub but still convenient. Rooms were clean though baths could use a facelift at some point. Staff including Jeff were responsive and great to deal with. We are looking forward to our return, and hope it is soon! Next time it'll be for a week.

Read all the great reviews of Riverside and found them to be true. We plan to go back again since we were only there a few days and was very relaxing. All the rooms have beautiful views. My wife loved having her morning coffee and watching the fishing boats going out. Make your reservations early.

It took us a long time to get reservations at Riverside Motel. We have been coming back for the last 7 years and are booked for 2012. As others have stated, the rooms are as clean as any accommodation we have ever stayed in. Even the deck and chairs are super clean. We were coming in later than normal check in and arrangements were made so we could get in the room after the office was closed !! We like a bottle of wine, some cheese and crackers, and the Adirondack style chairs 5 feet from Perkins cove. What a way to spend a day !! See you next year Geoff and staff !!

We just returned from another visit to the Riverside - sadly too short due to an early winter storm. Although now closed for the season, consider staying here next year. This was our fourth visit...still outstanding! The view into Perkins Cove from our room in Building "A" is fantastic, complete with a working lobster boat fleet. The motel is away from the primary traffic areas; however everything in the area is within a short walk or drive. The host, Geoff, spares no effort in making ones visit memorable. Breakfast is included in the common room, your room will be spotless and the entire grass covered grounds insure a peaceful visit. Don't miss this one if visiting lower seacoast Maine.
