“Awesome place”

I stayed here in July 2010 with my mom and cousins wife. Mom is in her mid-50's and my friend and I are 30. It was great - we've stayed in Ogunquit before and this is the cheapest so far, as well as the nicest. The four of us stayed in one room which was a bit tight, but we managed. The only problem we ran into was I blew a fuse a few times while I was drying my hair. We had too many things plugged in at once - two hair dryers, a phone charger, the tv, etc... and three women getting ready - it was just too much I guess. I called the front desk and they came right away and fixed it. It happened again, a few minutes later, and they fixed it immediately. Didn't happen anymore. It's perfect because you can walk to the beach instead of driving and paying $20 to park each day. We had no problem walking to the beach, right down the road. The trolley stops in front of the hotel which is nice as well. We took the trolley down to Perkins Cove and down to the other restaurants about a mile away. Fun to ride. The breakfast place across the street is great too - make sure you check that out!

We are going back this July, 2011... we got two rooms this time since there are 4 of us... can't wait to go back! It's a great deal for peak summer times in Maine. Really great. Can't go wrong. The pool is nice too - small but perfect for what we needed. I love it there.

Oh... in our room we had a double bed, a queen and a pull out sofa. The sofa bed was not comfortable at all, but it was ok for 3 nights. Definitely not comfy though. The other two bed were just fine. Nothing special but they were fine.
Free wifi... parking, it's great. We love it :)

“Very good value, not a resort but good place to stay cheap!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 March 2011

We paid $35 a night and stayed 7 nights, our flight came in very late(since were from FL and all FL flights get into Portland ME late for some reason) the night we checked in, so the owner left our room key for us and we were able to check in the next morning after we woke up which was great! Its not a fancy place and the only amenities it had was a pool but it was the cheapest place and is very close to everything Ogunquit has to offer and its surrounding cities, and the vacation is about what you do in Ogunquit not the hotel you stay in. We only were at the hotel to sleep thats how a vacation is supposed to be. Also It is not 3min walk from the beach like they told us it was more like a 10-20 minute walk and im in my 20's im not elderly so its a 10-20min brisk walk, but the walk is nice and the scenery is good. Overall I would stay here again and probably will on my next trip to ogunquit!

“Exceeded my expectations. Great price. Great location.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 October 2010

I have been to Ogunquit a few times but had never stayed at the Foot Bridge Motel. The other places I stayed were more than $150/night so I decided to try Foot Bridge, and I am so glad that I did. The location was great! The room was clean, quiet and the personnel were extremely nice. For $55/night I was unsure what to expect but I will definitely stay here the next time I visit Ogunquit. We didn't spend much time at Foot Bridge beach because it was October but we did make a trip down and I was again pleasantly surprised at just how beautiful of a beach it is. The foot bridge itself creates a quaint entrance to the beach as well. I would suggest stopping by the Beachfire Grille right next door to the motel. It was raining the night we went but the fire was going out front and I wished we would have made it back the next evening to enjoy the fire and conversation with others. However, the food was good and staff was friendly and accomodating.

“Fabulous and accomodating”

My husband and I have stayed multiple times at the Footbridge both with and without our children. Every time we stay the rooms are clean and the owners are very accommodating. We find the prices always reasonable for area. The suite is roomy enough to accommodate my husband and I with our 3 kids. This is a huge plus being a large family. We have had to squeeze into one of the Double rooms on a short notice stay and even that was not bad. It is only a 3 minute walk to footbridge beach. This is great to avoid the $20 parking fee. We also enjoy walking right next door to the Beach fire grill. You can't beat sitting by the fire on a cool September night.
We usually visit twice a year and have been going for the last 4 years. Every time we go it is like visiting old friends. You don't get that just anywhere. We look forward to returning next year.

“The Footbridge provides simple pleasures for a relaxing experience.”

We've been staying at the Footbridge Beach Motel every summer since 2004. The rooms are clean, the owners and staff are very accomodating and friendly. The set up of the motel provides a very comfortable atmosphere, which is great for couples or families. The pool is always clean and plenty of chairs and towels are provided. Gas grills for barbequing along with outdoor tables and chairs is a great amenity. A three minute walk down a lovely neighborhood street takes you to a gorgeous beach. Trolley route is right across the street and great nearby restaurants and attractions make this motel a place where you and your family will want to keep coming back to year after year!
