“Can't be beat for quality and cleanliness”

The Milestone is set on a slope with several buildings (4) on various levels. The meticulously kept grounds and buildings are picture perfect. Situated about 2 miles from the centre of Ogunquit, it is just across one the foot bridges to the beach.

The rooms have recently been updated (marble counters!). Our unit had a small fridge under the counter and the sink was also in this par of the room. The bathroom consisted of the toilet and bathtub/shower.

The rooms have double beds and that was a drawback for us. Two adults sharing one of the double beds wasn't the most comfortable sleep.

Just outside our door the passageway with overhand offered us a wnderful place to have late afternoon cocktails. Two outdoor chairs were in front of each unit. Almost every day, we sat outdoors, met some of neighbours and enjoyed a cool cocktail.

Continental breakfast in the lobby is just perfect. There is enough variety to please most people. The area is kept clean. There are a lot of windows so it's bright and airy and music is piped in.

The staff of the Milestone are exceptional. Friendly and caring, ther were very helpful when during our stay there, a hurricane cut power to all of the area. They came to our room to offer flashlights and other supplies.

There is one computer in the lobby for customer access.

There is also a well equipped gym, a clean laundry room and a pool and hot tub.

Right near the Milestone (walking distance) are a few good restaurants so no need to go into town.

It appears that many people go back ever year and we can understand why. Ogunquit is a beautiful place and the Milestone in a perfect choice.

“Clean & Spacious”

I was very pleased with my accommodations for this short nite (arrived 10PM left 7AM) stay. The bed was super -- wish I hadn't had to leave so early! Towels med plush. Fridge came in handy - especially if you want milk in your coffee. Lobby inviting, although I didn't stay for breakfast as I headed over to Amore for some Lobster Benedict - YUM! I would definitely stay here again . . . and hope to!

“Clean and Quiet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2011

We were very pleased with our recent stay at the Milestone, our first visit there. We had a deluxe room which was clean and quiet. It was an end unit so it was very convenient to park the vehicle a short distance away. The soaps and shampoos are pleasant and everything in the room worked. The hot water is hot and the water pressure in excellent. The only criticism I have is about the continental breakfast. They offer juice, water, milk, coffee, bagels, muffins, cereal, fruit, oatmeal, etc., all the things one would expect to find at a continental breakfast. On Morning One, the hot water for tea (amd oatmeal) was tepid. All you fellow tea drinkers out there know that tepid water makes ghastly tea. It did and it was. Off to Dunkin Donuts we went for a real cup of tea. On Morning Two, having learned from the morning prior, I had a sip of their orange juice and headed off to Dunkin' Donuts for tea made with scalding water.

Room Tip: Your best chance of seeing the ocean is from a room in the building at the top of the driveway. We w...
