“The Best in Ogunquit!”

Our 2 night stay at Almost Home with our warm and charming host, Jacqui, was fabulous. We couldn't have asked for a more comfortable, relaxing weekend. Jacqui is a thoughtful, kind, considerate, and skilled inn keeper. She had wonderful recommendations. The location is a short walk to Ogunquit center and a moderate walk to Perkin's Cove. The room was quiet, large, and beautifully decorated. The entire experience was one we would love to repeat!

“Fantastic relaxing break in ogunquit!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 November 2011 via mobile

We visited for 4 nights in september and had a fab time, the inn is beautiful, well kept clean and homely and as for jacqui's breakfasts... One word, amazing!! The area was lovely and jacqui was so helpful with her suggestions of what to do in the local area... Make sure you go out on a lobster boat, best $15 we spent! We left feeling so relaxed and a few pounds heavier!! Thanks jacqui and trooper, hopefully see you again one day!

“Jacqui is a star...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 October 2011

Having read current reviews of Almost Home, there is nothing original I can say! We stayed for 2 nights and only wished we could have stayed longer. Jacqui is an exceptional hostess, she is charming, caring, generous on most of all great company. The rooms we had were the Garden and East Light. Both were really spacious and very comfortable. The attention to detail in the decor is lovely. We would to be have the opportunity of returning, my husband fell in love with Trooper... so we may be back sooner than anticipated !

Room Tip: Just ask Jacqui - she will help depending on your needs

“WOW!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2011

I reserved this B & B because of Trip Advisor and I must say I CAN NOT believe it is only # 3!!!!!! We did a girl's weekend out east and must say, Jacqui and "Almost Home Inn" was the highlight! We stayed at a very nice B & B after "Almost Home" but we both kept saying, "it's very nice, but it's not Jacqui's place!" Not only were the accommodations wonderful, the 2 breakfasts OUT OF THIS WORLD (make sure you ask for blueberry pancakes and scrambled eggs with asparagus and roasted sweet potatoes!), but Jacqui made us feel "At Home"!! (I think that should be her new name!) She even drove us into town so we didn't have to walk there and back (which was still a very easy and pleasant walk.) We both decided that we will be bringing our families back to meet Jacqui!! Thank you for such an INCREDIBLE experence!! (It was also VERY nice meeting Jack and Leita!!!)

...but this first time at a bed & breakfast (after years of travelling) has opened my eyes to a whole new way of enjoying an initial stay in an area. The only downside is that any other B&B will have to be spectacular to even come close to this experience. Jacqui Grant immediately made us feel that we were not staying at an inn - we were returning home. Without being obtrusive, she anticipated our needs. The room was very nice (my wife loved the decor, I appreciated the comfort). Despite being at the front of the house and right off a very busy Route 1, our sleep was quite comfortable. The room had more than sufficient space for an early riser such as myself to not disturb my light sleeping wife.

We were also uncertain how to approach the first morning breakfast. (Actually, Jacqui had coffee made quite early and, having learned the night before that I was an early riser, knocked lightly on the door to let me know the coffee was ready). We went out and sat at the patio well before the breakfast time (8:30). Because the day was comfortable, Jacqui decided to have the breakfast on the patio. She presented a extremely satisfying (and huge!) meal, customized to our particular needs - my wife has a tender stomach, I am omniverous. When the other guests started arriving, she facilitated introductions, and her casual mannerisms and graciousness facilitated a discussion. I was surprised to see that breakfast had lasted for over an hour and a half of pleasant converstaion.

The first evening she recommended a fine restaurant and got us reservations despite the very overcrowded town. She also got us reservations when none were available at other restaurants of our choice. She is very knowledgeable and helpful about her town.

When I return to this area , I will stay at no other place. Thanks for a great experience.

Room Tip: loved the garden room - 1st floor and a separate outside entrance.
