If you are looking for a charming, quaint, personal Inn or B&B, this is NOT the place for you. I found the White Rose Inn online and their website made it seem quite nice. "Luxury suites, spacious studio suites and charming guest rooms..." This is not the case. The room I stayed in was slightly better decorated than a hotel chain room. Tiny TV, no telephone in the room. No soundproofing at all - I could hear every cough sneeze & other sounds of the rooms across, next to and below me. Especially annoying when the people next to me came in at 2:00am and proceeded to LOUDLY discuss the wedding they had just attended next door.
Apparently the Inn was purchased by the owner's of the Admiral's Inn down the road - they offered 'onsite massage services' in their confirmation letter. When I responded that I would be interested in having a massage during my stay, I was e-mailed the (long distance) phone number of the therapist and told to set up the appointment myself. I found this rather odd that they would offer the service, yet not make the arrangements. Owners were not overly friendly or helpful. Also, the website offers "October thru February: A freshly prepared full breakfast is available". There is no breakfast available at the Inn. You have to walk down the road to the Admiral's Inn between 8am-10am you can have a drink, muffin and maybe a bagel. Tiny pool & tiny hottub. Definitely a disappointment.
