My husband and I wanted to get away for a long weekend this fall and wanted to bring our dog with us. We found the perfect place in Captain's Quarters. It was clean, cozy and quite comfortable, particularly the king-sized bed, which was covered in the most luxurious sheets--the same ones you'd find on the treatment table at a spa. You can purchase a set if you'd like, and I'm pretty sure I will! The rooms were warm and welcoming and tastefully decorated. The innkeepers couldn't have been nicer and made helpful recommendations regarding restaurants and local attractions. We will definitely be going back there soon!

My sister and I recently took a sister's vacation and spent the week at Captain's Quarters. I brought my puppy and we sincerely had the best week ever. Scott, Bruce, Peter and the whole team could not have been nicer, more helpful or more accomodating. Our suite was just what we wanted, and clean beyond belief. You would never know it was pet friendly, as there was no trace of dog hair or scent. The bed was extremely comfortable and the sheets they use are amazing. The bathroom was gorgeous, and spacious considering it's a 1 bedroom suite. Housekeeping was great, and only came when you wanted them to, and you didn't feel like they were intruding. The kitchen was indeed fully equipped, and you can be sure that if for some reason it didn't have a pot or pan we might have needed, the Captain's Quarters team would have gone to try to get one for us. All in all, we couldn't have asked for a better place to go and relax, take walks, watch movies, shop, eat. And we certainly couldn't have asked for a better staff or place to stay. I highly recommend going. Suite 5 was where we were! Thanks CQ!

I recently traveled to Ogunquit for the weekend with my 2 children and 2 dogs. This was my first time traveling with the pooches, so this was a whole new experirence for me. To be honest, I was a little concerned about the cleanliness of a "pet friendly" motel, but when we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. The place was spotless and there were no doggie odors or hair to be found anywhere. The bathroom was beautiful and the shower preasure was incredible! Our suite had a king size bed for myself and a seperate bedroom with 2 twin beds which was perfect for my teens. I highly recommend the Captain's Quarthers for anyone visiting the beautiful town of Ogunquit with their 4-legged friends!

Being right on route 1 there is a lot of road noise but it does quiet down in the evening. However the air conditiong unit was very noisy and did disturb our sleep. The bed was comfortable and the shower was just fine but the floors could have been cleaner. Another review I read had the same complaint and the response from the owner was you only had to ask and they would correct any problem. I believe you should expect clean and not have to request it. However, when I did make other requests, Peter responded promptly. We stayed here because we travel with our dog and I must say this was perfect for us. So would I stay here again? If I travel with a pet I would but without a pet I would look elsewhere. One of their other properties ,The Gazebo, would be worth a look.
