We booked a guest cottage for two to celebrate a milestone birthday in October and found The Dunes to be an absolute treasure. The manager marked our special occasion with small gifts and a heartfelt note, rounding out the beautiful location with exemplary service. We stayed for three nights and would have stayed longer if we could. The peaceful setting, morning coffee on the dock, and the manicured but natural grounds offered one of the best getaways we've had. The kitchen, bed, and bath were very clean, and the kitchen included basic cookware (though we didn't use it, it looked more than serviceable). Not surehow crazy the location would feel in the summer time, but for a romantic off-season visit, try The Dunes. Consider eating outside the Ogunquit area, though, as we encountered poor service and lousy food at the nearest restaurants.
