My kids were enthralled with the collections of old-fashioned stoves and the multitude of fine China. They also wanted to see each and every themed room to see what neat things they would find.

When we walked up to the door we didn't really know what to expect, but soon after we entered the room we immediately perked up. The Bella suite was by far the nicest room I've stayed in, and almost made me feel like i woke up in a movie. My girlfriend and I celebrated our one year anniversary in a beautiful hot tub and relaxed in a beautiful giant bed and we couldn't have asked for more. Also, the innkeepers were unobtrusive but knew when to talk to us (breakfast conversation was very nice) and make our stay great. Of course we can't speak for the other rooms, but if you're going to go, definitely spring for the Bella, it was awesome!

Where to even begin ... no battery in smoke detector, had to turn off cold water UNDER sink, weeds so overgrown you had to brush them aside to walk to the front door, owner was quick to check us in but couldn't be bothered to show us to our room.

We couldn't get out of there fast enough!! First time we have ever skipped breakfast at a B&B.

LIKE: Hmmm ... ummm ... there was a window air conditioner and the sheets were clean.

DISLIKES: no shampoo, no bar soap, no working smoke detector, hit my head on low ceiling getting out of tub, tub had rubber hose to take a sitting shower, couldn't find front sidewalk thru the weeds. The toilet was in a small CLOSET! If I sat down my knees kicked open the folding closet door.

My husband had received a B & B gift card for his retirement. We decided to travel to Maine as I had never been there. We had also not stayed in a B & B so decided to give it a try in Kittery. My husband booked Enchanted Nights for two nights. Well, when we arrived, I was surprised to see it as it sure didn't look very inviting to us. The lawn was very over grown and the grounds were not nicely kept. No one answered the door but we called and a gentleman answered the phone.He said our room was ready - the room off the parking lot. Well, when we entered the room(s) were dark and smelled musty. There were window fans. At that point I knew I couldn't stay there! We called and booked another B & B in Kittery - thank God they had one room left. We had to pay Enchanted Nights $100 for cancelling.
