If you are looking for a cookie cutter chain room you are in the wrong place. If you want a privately owned very well maintained Motel you found it. Always clean with friendly staff. Each year improvements are done, they are currently working on expanding the breakfast area for expanded choices.

My husband and I have stayed here before a couple ot times when traveling with our dog. This time we were en route home sans pet when we needed a place to spend the night. Although we could have stayed anywhere, we thought, "why not, it's always been fine." We found the property to be well-maintained and our room had new features like a large flat-screen TV. The bathroom sparkled and had excellent water pressure. It's not exactly boutique-bedding, and we did have trouble with a slipping blanket and thinnish pillows, but for the price it's a clean, decent place, well-located for shopping errands and dining choices. (Best price was throiugh the Room Saver coupon book available on-line or at highway service centers.) As in the past we had dinner at Anneke Jans, less than 3 miles away.

Two friends and I just returned from our first shopping trip to Kittery and stayed at the Coachman Inn. Wonderful place for many reasons. Very convenient for shopping as it is right next to where the stores start which also makes it easy to find. Ladies at the front desk were very nice and helpful to recommend places to eat. It was very clean with a large room (we had 2 beds) and since we were on the ground floor, an outside entrance. Continental breakfast is included and tea, coffee and hot chocolate are always available at the front desk. Price is very reasonable. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay.

First of all I love flowers, so I was pleased with the view near the pool. We liked how the room was set up, furnishings etc., enough that we decided to stay two nights. A lot of things to see and do in the area! Anyone visiting would do well to stay at the Coachman Inn. Very clean, good prices!
