“Nice motel with great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 July 2011

The motel is nice and well priced in relation to Kittery area. Rooms are clean and washroom was spotless. Me and my wife stayed for two days and paid cash and save taxes. Beds were comfy and sheets were nice and clean. Front desk staff was nice and welcoming. We got the service we paid for as this is not five star hotel so we do not have much expectation. Location is right next to highway and outlets as we were there for shopping and sight seeing. I highly recommend this motel.

“Just Okay”

Made reservation for this place with no problem in summer with short notice, apparently because hardly anyone stays there. It doesn't look like a motel from the road. You have to be looking for it specifically. There is another motel on either side of this one that people have to drive by to get to this one, and they were both busy. When we arrived no one was in office, just our room key with our reservation slip on the desk. Self serve!

Room was okay, older but clean. Had a small fridge and A/C that made noise when you turned it on - but did not cool the room. Not being near much of anything we turned on the TV. It was all snowy. Tried to tighten the connections, and then NO TV at all.

So, I would have gave it a lower rating, but it was reasonably priced, and clean. But could not go higher because of no TV, bad location and A/C that didn't work.

“DO NOT STAY HERE.”

We reservered two cabins here for guests of our wedding. After making the reservation and settling on a price ($70/ cabin/ night) the business changed owners. I phoned a week before the event to confirm the reservation and was told that the price had changed because they were new owners. However, I was offered a "deal" which was, if I paid cash for the entire stay (two night) they would not charge me any tax. So we paid for the rooms in cash.
The cabins were quite shabby, and old. A big like staying in Grandmas attic. The pool was "closed" but had not sign saying so and we only found out it was closed when one member of our group went for a swim and was chased off. There was a partially dressed man apparently making repair to this car in the parking area/ courtyard which the cottages looked directly on. This was a big mistake on our part - we booked over the phone and had not visited the place ahead of time.

“Thin Walls”

We picked this motel purely on price, with some input from TripAdvisor. Our trip was site-seeing and shopping and we were really only concerned with having a decent place to sleep. We booked early and got a better rate for paying cash. We were a bit nervous because we've never stayed in this type of motel. When we arrived we were still nervous, but with moderate expectations, pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean, but old. The bathroom looked recently remodeled and was spotless. It took a while for the room to heat up and the controls apparently did nothing. However, it was not too hot or too cold once the room reached temperature. There was a small refrigerator. No coffee maker. The closet was like a dark, unlit alcove with the refrigerator in it and shelves next to it that served no purpose. There were no hangers. The bed and bedding was clean and comfortable. Now for the bad. Noise. The motel has permanent residents, as well as transient guests like construction workers. The room next to ours had some of the permanent residents and the noise they produced was offensive. We knew every time they went to the bathroom (at 5 AM and you fill in the blanks!), every time they turned on the bathroom faucet, and had the joy of experience dishes being washed in a bathroom sink at 6 AM every morning we were there. Without the permanent residents, we would consider staying there again. We won't go back because of the type of "guests" inhabiting the hotel.

This was our secod visit to Northeaster Motel and we were pleased once again. The rooms were very clean and convenient, and the lady at the front desk was very friendly.
The location was perfect for shopping at the outlets or going to the beach. I highly suggest this motel.
