My husband and I booked a last minute two night stay at Chetwynd House during a busy summer weekend. The rate was affordable given the summer beach traffic. The house is a lovely old victorian in a prime dock square location in Kennebunkport. Just down the street from Arundel Wharf, where we had drinks on the dock every night. We were also within walking distance to many shops, atm, the drug store, ice cream, etc. And free parking! It's not for people who want high style or modern furnishings, but it's very comfortable and impeccably clean. We would stay here again.

My wife and I are expecting our first child and wanted to get away before the baby arrived. We had never been to Kennebunkport or even a B&B for that matter, but figured it would be a great choice for us for the weekend escape. I did a lot of research as I wanted it to be special and came across The Chetwynd House. I am so glad we chose this for our destination. Bob the innkeeper was wonderful. He told us the best places to go for food, where to site see and little tips about other things in Kennebunkport. The breakfast he cooks up allows you to only need a snack for lunch or skip it all together.

The Inn is on a quiet side street but is only steps (literally) from the center of town and a very short drive to the beach. We stayed in the Seavey Suite, which was plenty big enough for us. The interior of the Inn brings you back to a Victorian setting with the furniture and decorations.

We highly recommend staying at this Inn if you travel to Kennebunkport. We are looking forward to our next visit to the inn hopefully next year, only this time as a family.

Me & my fiancee decided to go away for our Anniversary at the last minute. After spendinh hours searching for a nice place on the Maine coast that wasn't already booked I found the Chetwynd House Inn on Trip Advisor. They offer excellant deals for a long weekend! We left work early on Thursday and headed up to take advantage of their "Thursday Night Free" package. It's an old victorian house right in the middle of town. Almost anywhere you would want to go was within walking distance. There were beautiful roses waiting for us in our room (I had requested them). We stayed in the Seavey Suite, which had 2 beds and a nice, big bathroom and huge shower. There was an older TV..but we weren't there to watch TV all day:).....The breakfast was huge and tasty! We were so full we barely ate lunch. Every breakfast would consist of fresh fruit, waffle or french toast (so yummy), and eggs and bacon and toast! Bob was super nice and very helpful. We will return to Kennebunkport and stay at the Chetwynd House.

If you are going to visit Kennebunkport, the Chetwynd House Inn is the perfect place to stay. It is located about 200 feet from the center of town!

Our room was very spacious, clean and well decorated. It was very nice to have a TV and Internet access.

The breakfasts were very good and very filling!

Our host, Bob, was wonderful and could not have been any nicer or more accommodating. If you want solid recommendations on where to eat, Bob is your man. He recommended Noonan's Restaurant to us for lobster and it was absolutey fantastic. Bob is also great source of historical information about Kennebunkport.

We look forward to returning to Chetwynd House on our next visit to Maine.
