Although this review is long overdue (Sept. 2010), I only have warm fuzzy feelings about this "not your grandma's" B&B.
We knew we made the right choice in booking the CFI when Finn went above and beyond to accommodate a last minute request for a very specific cake. Actually, in retrospect, we knew we made the right choice when we ate the warm chocolate chip cookies.
It's chic, cozy and hospitable. Go here if you're looking for an upscale, intimate and delicious boutique inn experience. Do not go here if you're pretentious, can't walk up stairs, have no appetite, or appreciation for eclectic design.
IRRELEVANT FOOD RECOMMENDATION: Eat the cookies.
Also, don't be afraid of salad for breakfast. It's good for you!
