“Cute and cozy”

Cottages at cabot cove are very small, but that is part of their charm. Perfect Maine getaway for couples. My wife and I had a great weekend together in one of the cottages. Seems like it would make for a great vaca for a group where everyone could reserve adjoining cottages. Only down side is it is a long walk to town

Thank you for your Cute and Cozy review! Cabot Cove is a wonderful escape filled with Kennebunkport charm. It's a flashback to the days of the classic Maine cottage experience but filled with the amenities of today and we are so glad you enjoyed your stay!. Cabot Cove is 1/2 mile to the heart of Dock Square.. hopefully the distance allowed you to enjoy the serenity of the Cove. We hope you and your husband are able to return soon!

“Very sweet”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2011

I always come to trip advisor before travelling, and always look at the bad ones first. I noticed that the bad ones for this place were all pretty old, and all related to front office people. Since I usually have little or no interaction with the front office, I discounted that and made the reservation. We travelled a long way to stay there (From Virginia) and were not disappointed. The cabins were clean, comfortable, well appointed and, delightful in every way. They are, to be sure, tiny. But that adds to the charm. The grounds are meticulously kept, and the landscaping gives one the feel of perfect privacy when sitting in the Adirondack chairs outside the front door, even though your neighbor is only an arm's length away. We were blessed with perfect weather when we were there and enjoyed the breakfast delivered to our door every morning on those chairs. I'm guessing that management may have changed since the bad reviews of years past, since our interations with all staff and management were very cordial and gracious. The cove on the property is tidal, and at low tide is not at all attractive, but you'd have to take that up with Mother Nature. There is nothing the Cabot Cove people can do about that. At high tide, its quite lovely. Being right on that cove gives you the opportunity to do something very special. If you climb into one of the property's complimentary kayaks at just the moment the tide starts coming in, you can paddle upstream and inland for hours. The incoming tide will help you along, and its very beautiful up there. Be careful coming back. The trip involves paddling underneath the bridge that goes over the river on the main drag through town. Going upstream as the tide is coming in is no problem. But if you stay out for a few hours, you'll be coming back at high tide and paddling under that bridge then is pretty dicey. Not much headroom. But definately do the upstream kayak thing. I have a thousand fond memories of Cabot Cove, but that is my favorite.

“Great Little Place!”

Stayed there with my sweetheart who was home for two weeks from Afghanistan. It was a wonderful location and a great private place to stay. The grounds were beautiful and the rockers on the porch were bomb!

“Wonderful Weekend Spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2011

The cottages were cozy, cute and exactly what we were looking for to spend a weekend away. Our cottage was clean, stylish and stocked with everything you could need (it even had stove, frig, and dishwasher). It was wonderful and we look forward to returning again. If you are looking for a romantic get away by the sea we would highly recommend the Cabot Cove Cottages

Room Tip: would recommend cottages on the "office" side (numbers thru 10) for they have beautiful wa...

“Cozy, Cute, Quintessential Maine!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 October 2011

These adorable cottages are the prefect location and atmosphere for your getaway in Kennebunkport! We stayed in cottage #7, Trellis. This was perfect, stylish and comfortable. (Beach themed) We had a great view of the cove from the front porch and from the living area. The TV could be viewed from either the bedroom or the living area thanks to the innovative way the center cabinet had an opening on both sides, this made my husband very happy. We stayed here 4 nights, and loved every minute of it, we did not want to leave. The property manager, Kristy was so helpful and friendly, she recommended places to eat, where the locals hang out, and where to get provisions. One afternoon she showed us around and let us peek into some of the other cottages. They are all decorated so fabulously, each one individualized by the designer who styled them, I would be happy in any of them.

The breakfast on the front door every morning was always welcoming. We loved to see what was going to be in store for the day; hard boiled eggs, muffins, scones, fresh fruit, granola, yogurt and always a carafe of Orange Juice. Yummy.

My husband had a chance to use the kayaks, he had an awesome time kayaking in the cove and over to dock square. The cottages are so centrally located. We spent the mornings biking all around Kennebunkport; up to Walker Point, then down through town, over the bridge to the Kennebunk beaches, then back to our cottage, a great home base. We can't wait to return!!!

Room Tip: They are all great, check the website for the one with your style.
