“We wanted to stay forever.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 September 2010

My sister, dog and I stayed two nights at this delightful bed & breakfast/small farm and we couldn't have asked for a more pleasant, perfect site. Breakfast was absolutely scrumptious. While sitting on the deck enjoying the breathtaking view and lovely weather, we had coffee, a melon cup, blueberry pancakes one day, the next raspberry muffins and scrambled eggs with broccoli and cheese.

Lola the dog and I enjoyed our morning walks along the trail to Tidal Falls and sitting on the beach. She was so welcomed that she stopped behaving as a guest and practically took the place over, much to my chagrin and Ms. Magoo's, the resident pug puppy, detriment.

Three Pines is a restful, laid back, natural, splendid vacation destination that I plan to return to.

“A great place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 August 2010

I can't say enough about Three Pines. Karen was a wonderful host and made thee best breakfast everyday. The place itself was very neat and the grounds were well kept. They had a farm which provided many of the foods prepared for us. Because it sits on the harbor the place is solar powered. I would recommend this place to everyone.
This place is very scenic and sit on the water. Very pretty pictures.

“A Wonderful Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 October 2009

Our recent vacation to Hancock, Maine was a truly wonderful experience for us, as well as our two Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs, Taki and Lily! Karen and Ed Curtis, proprietors of the Three Pines Bed and Breakfast and Farm have managed to combine exceptional hospitality with well appointed and comfortable accommodations.
Waking up to breathtaking views of Frenchman's Bay, followed by a scrumptious breakfast that included (but certainly was not limited to) farm fresh eggs, warm muffins and breads, and fresh fruit with homemade yogurt, was the perfect start to a perfect day.
Three Pines B&B invites you (and your dogs!) to relax, take walks along the shore or forested trails, and connect with nature - a wonderful recipe for a perfect vacation!
We highly recommend a stay at this delightful B&B on your next visit to Maine!

“You make your own bed”

Just a little tip to know if you stay at Three Pines Bed & Breakfast. ....the inn keepers failed to tell us. If you stay for more than one night you don't get your room "freshened up". The bed isn't made or the bathroom cleaned up for you when you come back to the B&B after a day out sight seeing.

“Excellent B&B Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 July 2009

We normally prefer larger inns or hotels if we're not renting a cottage, but after seeing the great review in the Boston Globe and a good blurb in a guide book I decided to give the B&B thing one more try and book the first two nites of our anniversary trip to Maine at Three Pines. We were looking forward to staying at a "green" B&B on the water that would not balk at our request for a meat-free breakfast. I love animals so the farm was a definite plus.
Karen is a fabulous innkeeper - friendly, sincere and welcoming. She's also very organized with maps, info and an on-time breakfast (important for getting out to enjoy the local hiking/walking). Breakfast was excellent both days, esp. the blueberry muffins and raspberry french toast. The fact that some of the ingredients were grown right there was great!
The property is immaculate, the landscaping nicely done. We enjoyed reading on the shared deck.
Our room was a bit on the smaller side, but very nicely furnished and the bed was comfortable. Nice towels, great wood floors and a tv for watching movies, which we didn't feel the need to do. We loved the view from the room and the little touches, i.e. cookies and water in-room when we arrived.
We very much enjoyed our stay and have already recommended it to friends and family. We would definitely stay there again...first and only time we've said that about a B&B!
