“overcrowed, rude owner. there are much nicer camps to stay at than this one!”
Upon arrival at my site, my daughter had the pleasure of setpping in dog feces! check in time 11:00 am/ check out 11:00am. where do the owners find time to clean sites in between guest arrival and departure? THEY DONT!. The trash cans were full of garbage that appeared to be there for at least a week, rotting in the hot sun. In the evening we decided to play some cards and listen to music at a very low volume, the owner (WOMAN) came into my site and started waving her finger in my face, (I FELT LIKE A CHILD BEING YELLED AT BY GRANDMA!) telling me we are so loud she can hear us in her house all the way on otherside of camp! LIE. we tested this theory turned our radio on next day, same volume level, and once we hit 10 feet from our site you couldnt hear anything. maybe she has one of those high powered hearing aids on ? I belive the elderly couple right next to us may have heard my child laugh.
what they call large wooded sites are a small row of thin trees barley seperating the campsites.
If you shower quickly you may have enough hot water to rinse your hair. The bathrooms dont even offer a soap dispenser, so as you can imagine , people deficating and unable to wash hands afterwards? I was afraid to touch door knobs! And whatever you do , dont take the campsite next to bathrooms, the fumes arrising from the ground are enough to make you sick!
the so called playground is 2 swings and a rusty old metal slide!
So all in all... If you dont mind the stench, and having to quietly sit w/ folded hands while your children are bored out of their minds, Then maybe this is the place for you! Ive looked around and there are much nicer campsites in the area, cheaper and many right on the water.
