We stayed for two nights while seeing the Freeport area. This is a lovely inn, the innkeepers are helpful and friendly without being intrusive, and made excellent recommendations for restaurants (Azure Cafe - yummy) and places to see. The business aspects were handled very professionally (email confirmations, etc.) The rooms are immaculate and beautifully decorated, but not fussy - this is a place you can be comfortable and do not have to be afraid to sit on the bed or chair. There were many things that made the inn special - great bayberry soaps, plenty of hot water for showers, A/C, good lighting, common areas with books, magazines, games, TV. I especially liked the guest kitchen and breakfast set-up. There are individual tables, so you do not have to sit with other guests if you don't want to - great for those of us who aren't at our best at breakfast. The food was great - tasty and just the right amount, not overly loaded with sweets and starches like some B&Bs. I appreciated the enhanced security of having the guest entrance locked at all times (guests have access code) in addition to room keys. The outdoor areas were great for sitting outside under the big trees on warm afternoons. The location is very convenient to the shopping areas of Freeport, you can walk most places. Our room in the front had a bit more traffic noise than we are used to, being on Main Street, but if you are a city person it would probably not bother you a bit. Next time we come, we will probably ask for a room further back. The pictures on the website are accurate. Overall - a great B&B run by innkeepers who know their stuff.
Room Tip: Rooms in the back would be quieter. Bay windows in the front rooms are charming and let in lots of...
